The book is beeing told by (Narrator) Nick Carraway, He moves to east cost as a bond trader in Manhattan. Where old money people live. Nick reconnects with his cousin Daisy. From there he meets Daisy friend Jordan. Tom( Daisy's husband) Takes Nick to his mistress Myrtle. Myrtle is married to George. A love affair. Nick meets one of the main characters Gatsby when Nick was attended one of Gatsby party, he has noticed that no one has actually seen Gatsby in the flesh but only attended guests spread rumors about him at his party.
2. The theme would be romance, and also money and dramas
3. I would say his mornings are lonely or calm, not too exciting. maybe wake up and take a warm shower and get a coffee and read a newspaper. The author's breakfast would be scrambled eggs with a piece of bacon. His tone is sad and lonely. I feel like he put himself as the Gatsby because his character is lonesome and seems sad because he is rich and has no one to share his things with.
4. Diction is used repeatedly, numbers of words that can describe the same thing. Imagery is used to describe the billboard that has two eyes of Eckleburg. Alliteration was used when Fitzgerald when describing Gatsby outfit. Saying "Suite, Silver, Shirt". Foreshadowing and flashbacks when Nick says "I've been drunk twice in my life, and the second was that night. Symbol, The green light in the book symbolizes Gatsby's immense desire for Daisy.
Next Level:
1. A teacher chose this book for the whole class to read. and she has mentioned that most people did not like the book. She also said that she was not amazed from reading it but then she said the second time she read it that she started to get more into it and actually enjoying it. Another thing she mentioned was that you can either like it or dislike it, but just to keep an open mind and I did. and just a few chapters into it and I was liking it already.
2. What kept me reading was the hook of the story. The questions i wondered was, who is gatsby and where is the story leading too.
3. My reading habits are bad, I have to find an interesting book with a good hook. i dont read often. When i do a few days later i find it boring.
